Loving the aesthetic! Black on pastel so catchy, and you worked it in here great!

The colors on the screen don't work as well, and I'm not sure if that's intentional (I know a lot of artists who use similar aesthetics and they like colors that don't contrast enough, like an affront to color theory, which is pretty neat). The yellow symbols on the screen are very difficult to see on the light blue because the colors are very similar in value and saturation, so I would have gone with one of the other colors in the palette for that. Again, I don't know if you were going for that look, but thats just something I noticed.

Really great stuff, and I'm really liking the look!

i tried more saturated yellow for the heart/face and didn't like the result so i sticked with this one, but you're right it's a bit hard to see, tho i still prefer it than a more saturated yellow, maybe i should have changed the color of the screen itself idk, thanks for the critic!

I think the design looks great! The animation came out a little quirky, and the motion doesn't look as natural as it could. If this is an idle animation, there's too much emphasis on the blinking (his whole body looks like its lurching with every blink) and the right arm skips up right when he blinks (the one with the sword).

I think the overall motion is good, but its too exaggerated for what you were going for. I would take away all the overshoot on that blinking frame in his face, and make the arms move significantly less. There is also something quirky happening with the right knee and right heel, which shouldn't really move at all.

I think making every motion smaller would greatly improve this animation. The hair moves wonderfully with the motion of the head, and I appreciate the folds changing in his clothes when his abdomen crunches. The turning of his head and his hand are super great subtle animations that add great volume to the character. And again, the design and color are really stellar. The pieces are all there, if you just make the motion more subtle and small, I think this would be an awesome idle animation.

I think you did really well with the background. The bricks in the houses are just scarce enough to work. I'd put something on the walls tho, like picture frames or a shelf, to make the room feel less empty. It would contrast really nicely with the open sky too :)

Thank you! I'm glad you like the piece! I always appreciate feedback, Next time I work on a room I'll try to fill it out more :)

Damn, those scales have such a cool texture! Super awesome stuff!

Love how springy and bouncy his scalp is, you gave it great weight! I like the animation, and the color palette is working super well. Is this character part of a larger project, or was this a one off?

KeithGarces responds:

A simple one off! I was doing a lot of freelance work so this allowed me to relax for a bit. Glad you enjoyed!

The smooshed pillow is really great, it has awesome weight and maximum fluff!

Congrats on the move! This is some badass drawing here, and I love the colors!

Very cute cast of characters! I really like the green guy.

Love that rattle! The character has a great outfit too, the oversized zipper is super cute. I think the snake has a few too many white highlight marks on him, but he looks good overall! Great stuff!

thanks a lot, I'm super happy with the feedback: D

God this is crazy to look at. Must have taken a very long time to make!

I make the monsters for your pleasure
