This is so stupidly good, I love everything about this. It's so lively, but it's still highly rendered and full of tiny details and lighting effects. Brilliant work, and congrats on having the opportunity to do a comic cover!

Thanks! : >
Fantastic! Love the exaggerated expressions and energy here. I think the first few motions are super strong, but the splat and the slide down don't have any weight. I think it would be a good idea to have one or two extra frames of follow through to show the character's weight bounce backwards from him hitting the wall, kind of like jelly jiggling after its hit. Same thing when the character slides to the floor, this way his mass reacts to the friction on the floor. This is really solid and ambitious, and definitely impressive for "just messing around in flash." I love this type of animation and you captured it very well!
Love the texture here, and the clothing folds are perfect. Wouldn't want to see this in a public restroom.
Love the mask, he looks so bizarre with the one eye poking out and the 3 breath holes on each nostril. Very cool and grotesque design.
There is a wonderful, and possibly intimidating, amount of detail here and it's awesome! I can only imagine how long this must have taken, and the work really shows. I would edit the tones in the characters, because they're too close to the background color, and it sort of muddies together. I think it would take this piece to a new level if you brought out some of the blue in cat-noir's costume, killing some of the red and separating it in temperature from the background. The details are super wonderful here, and I think it would benefit the piece greatly to add that little bit of extra contrast.
Thank you! Yeah, I'm not used to drawing detailed backgrounds so this took a while (and a ton of references!). I agree with your critique, I'm trying to use color dynamics in more interesting ways lately and this is efinitely something I'll take into consideration! Glad you like it!
This style is really well balanced! She's style super feminine even though she's got those ripped muscles, and I feel like its because you kept her hips wide and her shoulders narrow. I adore the fast colored lines and efficient shading. Really awesome work, I love the style!
Great work with this mean girl! You made the spikes on her sleeves and wrist bands really bulky and solid, and I like that effect. The thick outline isn't working here, and I think its because its too dark. I understand the effect you were going for here, but I think it would work better if you had a thin dark outline and another thick outline outside that one thats medium/ light purple. I think the lighter purple outline would make her really pop here against that teal backdrop. Solid work with the anatomy and expression, and I'm really liking this graphic style!
I love your lines and color, it looks very natural! The spindly vines in the foreground look great too. The airbrushing in the background is a little distracting and I feel like it would have worked better as solid objects. Since its the only airbrushed thing in the the picture, it doesn't look far away, it looks out of place. The colors are perfect tho, and the lack of detail in the background works very well. Great work! The style makes me immediately interested in the characters, and its awesome.
Hello!! Thank you so so much for your critique! Now that you point it out I absolutely agree about the airbrushing things in the background, they are mostly distracting and a solid color would've worked just fine as you've pointed out! I will keep that in mind in future drawings!
And thank yo so much to for the compliments! I'm glad other aspects like the lines and colors actually hit the mark!
[The characters are from the webcomic Homestuck, btw!]
Once again, thank you so much!!!
Love those crazy eyes, and the claws remind me of sloth claws. Great stuff
I think this is a really successful color experiment, and it looks really cool. The black is the only thing that's taking away from this, and I think it would look more confident if that saturated blue was your darkest color. The tones in the face and eyes are beautiful tho, he looks like he's made of sunsets :D
I make the monsters for your pleasure
